As a peng, I had several HONK styles... Alarm, anger, exhuberant joy, greeting.
When happy, I crooned.

But as a wolf, I do a lot more body language.
Growl, we already have.
Welp, we have.
Howl, we have.
Lick, should totally have a sound: three wet licks.
Sniff, because it is good for both canine and feline greetings.
/me tailwags, should have a sound because a tail whipping through the air makes a swoosh. :> And knocks things off tables.
/me pants, can express big wolfy grin or sincere appreciation of hotness or tiredness... Very versatile.

Hm, wolves are actually quite noisy things. And foxes.
